The course is open to pupils aged 19 or over, you can take your test on a 500cc bike to gain an A2 licence which restricts you to 47bhp, after you have 2 years experience you have the option to re-take your test on a 600cc and then you do not have any restrictions. If you are over 24 you can take your test on a 600cc to gain a full unrestricted licence.
As long as you are a competent rider all your lessons will be on the large capacity bike either a 500cc or 600cc machines which we use, or you can use your own bike.
The first part of the lesson involves getting used to the bike, the extra weight, size and power also the different controls. After a recap on what you did on your CBT course we discuss how to handle the bigger bike. Pupils then go on to cover town riding, bends, open roads and traffic.
We like to make sure that you reach a high standard before you are entered for your test because it is not just passing your test that counts but riding safely!
